Crediting the Film

For about 30 minutes of the lesson today, we looked at the opening of gingersnap and how the film uses still images to give credit the the movie. The way the film starts is unique and creative. The film starts with a group of students making a film for their school project.  You are likely to see a film giving credits in black and white however, gingersnap uses it's characters to give it's credit. The characters are introduced through stills shots of themselves in the movie.

The film was really helpful for our group because we had some still images of our movie location that we wanted to include it to the film. We also want to use the still shot even though it's not of the characters but of other scenes in the film.

Gingersnap, an example of a film which uses still images to give credit.

We took the idea of using still images for crediting our sequence from the film Gingersnap (our film credits above and example of Gingersnap film below).

we used the other half of the lesson to start editing the credits of our film. We added the still images which we all liked and started trying different music that could work with it. Rebecca had some musics which we liked a lot but we preferred hospital flowers by owl city. However, the lyrics does not correspond to the plot of the film so we plan to make some changes. This wound would be used in the scenes of the flash back. we want to use a more sharp sound taps and a violent orchestral hit which could be use to introduce a character.
